A Very Quick Glance at Palantir Technology’s Offices

A Very Quick Glance at Palantir Technology’s Offices:
I hadn’t heard of Palantir Technologies until I heard that they have basically occupied all open office space in Palo Alto, CA – so naturally I was interested to find out what a Palantir office looked like.
Below is a quick glance at an office renovation by OTJ Architects for Palantir’s Mclean, VA office (which also happens to be a hop, skip, and a jump away from the CIA Headquarters):

The concept for the renovation is to promote interaction by creating two central social-hubs – one immediately upon entering the public area suite, and the other upon entering the private staff area.  We have continued this idea throughout the space by creating touch-down niches with a variety of functions, including team areas to encourage impromptu meetings, game areas for staff to take a quick break, and lounge areas to relax. Each of these niches would be anchored by a Mural Wall which would give each an identity of its own.  The murals would be painted atop the existing wood paneling, since track lighting is already in these locations. The design allows staff to focus and be productive in private offices, but still have easy access to “a community”.
We also showed the potential for future growth with new exterior offices which could be configured as lounges or open work areas until such time.
