Nothing, just nothing, can match the mechanical grace and force of a cheetah running at full speed.
When it comes to mechanical design, evolution still has human ingenuity beat. Compare, for example, the beauty of the cheetahs' stride in the video above with DARPA's robotic cheetah below. No contest. Be sure to note in the slow-motion video just how long a cheetah's stride is (watch how far one paw travels between touchdowns) and just how slow a second is -- this is rolling at 1200 frames per second.
