CCleaner 3.25 update brings Chrome extension management capabilities

CCleaner 3.25 update brings Chrome extension management capabilities:
CCleaner 3.25 has just been released by Piriform. It is a popular temporary file cleaner for Windows that is used to free up disk space and remove information from programs and files that are no longer needed. The program has evolved in recent time so that it is now offering features that go beyond the actual cleaning. Some are still related to that, like the Drive Wiper module to overwrite free space on a hard drive to make data unrecoverable,  or the Registry scanner to find all sorts of issues in the Registry.
A recent change is the introduction of browser specific management options under startup. Previous versions of CCleaner enabled you to enable, disable or delete extensions and browser helper objects for Microsoft’s Internet Explorer  and Mozilla Firefox.
The update adds Google Chrome to the list of supported programs. To manage Chrome extensions and apps click on Tools > Startup > Google Chrome. Here you find a list of all installed apps and extensions, and whether they are enabled or disabled.

You can disable or delete extensions using the menu, or enable them again if you have disabled them previously. Hold down the CTRL-key on the keyboard to select multiple extensions and apps at once that you want to manage. The list of extensions can be saved to a text file, which may be useful if you want to have a record of the installed extensions and apps, or if you want to provide someone else with your extension list.
CCleaner does not reveal which version of Chrome it is displaying extensions for. It is likely that it is the stable version, but your best bet to find that out on your system is to compare the installed extensions with the versions of Chrome installed on your system.
CCleaner 3.25 furthermore improves compatibility with Microsoft’s newest server and client operating systems Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8 (not RT), the security when you manage Firefox plugins, and module loading speeds.
Adobe Dreamweaver, Corel PaintShop Pro X5 and Anonymizer have been added to the list of supported programs, and cleaning has been improved for Microsoft Office and the popular disc burning software ImgBurn.
You can check for updates with a click on the link of the same name that is located in the lower right corner of the CCleaner window. New and portable users can download the latest version of the application from the official Piriform website.
