Ford may have spilled the beans about its 2013 Mondeo in Amsterdam a few weeks ago, but the Blue Oval stand here at the Paris Motor Show is the first place that we've gotten to see the sedan in the metal. The European sibling of our Ford Fusion looks trim, angular and attractive in its auto show debut. (It looks just like the new Fusion, let's be honest.)
This is a global car for Ford, meaning most of the vehicle is the same in North American- and European-spec, even though the names and powertrains do vary. We quite enjoyed our time with the Fusion's 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine, for example, while Europeans will get to judge the Mondeo as fitted with a 1.0-liter EcoBoost, as well as several diesel options. The Mondeo will, of course, also come in wagon and five-door versions, which is enough to cause certain American car guys no small amount of lust.
