The Henry Ford Bridge in the Port of Los Angeles will soon be replaced by a new bridge, the Admiral Shulyer Bridge, that will be under construction as soon as this one is removed. The Henry Ford Bridge is the green structure that the camera is under and the adjacent dark grey bridge further from the camera is a railroad bridge. The Henry Ford bridge allows shipping to pass by openning as a drawbidge that parts in the middle of the span and each side raises like a draw bridge while the R.R. bridge lets tall freighters pass by elevating the entire span between the towers. The Shulyer Bridge will be taller allowing sufficient clearance for ships to pass under it.
