Fifth Avenue Apple Store battened down the hatches and Apple boots Scott Forstall to the curb

Fifth Avenue Apple Store battened down the hatches and Apple boots Scott Forstall to the curb:
If you watch the news, surf the web, or read the paper it’s hard to miss the fact that the gigantic storm is bearing down on the East Coast. Flooding is expected in some of the lower lying areas of major cities including New York. Apple has prepared its flagship Fifth Avenue store to defend against flooding.

Workers at the store have arranged a barricade of sandbags roughly a foot and a half tall at the entrance to the store to keep water away. While Apple is trying to protect the store from flooding, the company has booted a former executive from its staff.
Apple has reportedly sent Scott Forstall, senior vice president of iOS packing. Forstall will apparently remain with the company for a while and indications are he was fired for refusing to put his name on a letter of apology for the Apple Maps debacle.
