Stone Harbor decided to relocate to larger premises in London and create both a comfortable and healthy working environment for their growing investment company. The space was designed by Interni Design Studio and outfitted by The Interiors Group.
First impressions are important, which for offices translates into the reception area. And Stone Harbor’s is one of my favorites. The glowing rhino, the company logo’s mascot, which rests on the wall behind the custom desk looks fantastic. All at once, the reception is both elegant and modern.
Set in the most epic room, which has an enormous bay of windows, the main work area consists of a row of workstations 60 feet long. Employees are outfitted with large desk space, Mirra chairs. Televisions with the latest financial news are also mounted throughout.
Regarding the lighting systems, The Interiors Group mentions,
“A specialist lighting designer was briefed to design the lighting system following the strategy which was ‘task lighting’ not just random ambient lighting. The lighting scheme was based on the use of LEDs and fluorescent lamps to create a low energy space. Light fittings were also specified to be in keeping with the overall design theme. Another unusual office lighting element was the backlit Barrisol ceiling which created a stunning skylight effect.”And lastly, the office is outfitted with a gym and showers to help employees find time to stay fit.
