Crossover IX Plus 9 Other Apps for $50 [Deals Hub]:

Let’s face it, from time to time we need to run a Windows app on our Macs. Might not happen often, but it always seems to be that when it does happen, it’s a pretty important app or task that we’re talking about. Generally I go for the virtual machine route, but as the people at Crossover like to remind folks…just because you buy Parallels or Fusion that doesn’t mean you can run Windows. You still have to buy a copy of Windows to install. Ouch.
The lead app in the bundle today—Crossover IX—takes a different approach. They ported the files and DLLs needed to run the apps to the Mac and so the Windows apps have all the components they need to make the magic happen. Pretty nifty.
