Nokia finalized its plans to close their handset factory in Salo, Finland. The plant made its last mobile phone on Wednesday and 780 people will lose their jobs during this year. This was part of an overhaul announced in June to cut costs.

Nokia’s Salo plant was the last major cellphone manufacturing site in western Europe. Manufacturing has moved to Asia.
