#BigFive July

#BigFive July: "

It’s August, the sun is shining and we have a small surprise – the return of the WOMWorld/Nokia big five! The following posts are our favourites from July, la crème de la crème. Check out our selection and let us know what you think over @WOMWorldNokia:

5. A robot made of Nokia mobile phones

It was hard not to notice this incredible robot made from Nokia mobile phones? Well, I suppose if you were not in Beijing last month, you probably might not have noticed it. Fortunately, Herman Lai did and explained that Nokia decided to launch its “green” project there. The goal was to encourage people exchanging their old mobile phones for a movie ticket.

4. “This is not Angry Birds…”

Did you miss Fragger? Well no worries, Ewan wrote about it. Basically we’ve got generic “bad guys” instead of pigs and, instead of launching birds, you have a cache of explosive grenades to throw. Let’s be honest, to those who grew up with action figures, it’s a must have!

3. E7 review ‘simply a work of art’

In bronze medal position, we have Richard‘s post, a wonderful review of the Nokia E7. There’s nothing hear that Richard didn’t cover and there’s not much he doesn’t like about the phone either. He says the build quality is ‘exceptional’ and battery life ‘incredible’.

2. A Photographic Affair

So close yet so far, we have the start of an affair between Loryne Atoui and the Nokia N8. They did not know each other, yet one day they met and they fell in love. It’s as simple as that. Check out the full love story.

1. The Nokia Creative N8 Photo Awards, June edition

Last but not least, the pole position goes to James Burland and his post about the Nokia Creative N8 Photo Awards. They say pictures say a thousand words and the image below does just that for me. A personal favourite ;)
