We have reported extensively on the gestation of the 2012 911, publishing spy photos of the car and prototype ride-along impressions—we even confirmed rumors it would get a seven-speed manual transmission. Now, just before the new 911’s official reveal at the Frankfurt auto show, Porsche has released a video entitled “The New Porsche 911 is Coming.” As if we didn’t already know.
The clip has lots of flashing glimpses of the next neun-elf, along with blurred scenery and winding roads set to a wailing flat-six soundtrack. The closing shot gives us the best view yet of an uncloaked car’s silhouette. If you can’t wait until September, check out Porsche’s video below.
