The Shanwei Dyke is at the mouth of the Kaoping Stream in the Linyuan District. Whenever typhoon approaches, plenty of floating timbers would float downstream and fill the Shanwei Dyke, the Jhongyun Fish Port, and the Shanwei Fish Port. It caused destruction to the fisheries industry; therefore, measures were implemented to reduce the number of floating timbers after typhoons. Having said so, the huge pool of floating timbers beneath the blue sky is quite a magnificent view.
