Official: Euro drivers will worry a lot, do little about environment, Ford finds:

It looks like "passing the buck" translates well in almost any language.



Most Europeans expressed concern over climate change but very few are willing to give up their cars to do something about it, according to a new Ford poll. About 53 percent of the more than 6,000 people polled this summer called climate change the world's "biggest problem," yet fewer than one in four said they'd cut driving to address such issues.



On a more encouraging note, almost 30 percent of those surveyed said they'd consider buying an electric-drive vehicle even though just eight percent had driven a hybrid and six percent had driven a plug-in hybrid or battery-electric vehicle. And about three-quarters said they factor in fuel efficiency when buying a car, so we've got that going for us. Ford surveyed people in Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK.
