Internet Explorer collaborates with musical artists The xx

Internet Explorer collaborates with musical artists The xx:
Over the past couple months, we’ve had pleasure of working on some amazing projects. Today, we’re excited to share with you one of our latest collaborations with musical artists The xx on their sophomore album release, titled Coexist. This is the only place you can listen to Coexist prior to the album release on September 11. The experience, which represents the art of digital sharing, is a testament to The xx and their passion to continually push the boundaries of our expectations. As fans of the band, the team at Internet Explorer couldn’t be more thrilled for the opportunity to work together.
The Coexist site is built exclusively in HTML5, and we’ve engineered the experience to work plug-in free on all modern browsers, and in particular Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 8. As with each project we undertake, this is yet another opportunity to step back and rethink what’s possible on the web. With The xx, it was about blending music, art, and technology - creating beauty in simplicity. When you land on the page, you’ll notice an incredible visualization of how the album Coexist was shared from just a single person. By using your mouse (or finger) to move the time slider up and down on the right of the map, you can interact with the visualization to see how the experience was shared over time. Be sure to check out Coexist in Internet Explorer, listen to the album, and share it with your friends!
Big thanks to The xx, their management at XL and Beggars, and the team at Clarity Consulting for making something truly beautiful!
