How to group tabs semi-automatically in Opera

How to group tabs semi-automatically in Opera:
I like the tab stacking feature that Opera Software implemented into the Opera web browser some time ago and think it is the best implementation yet, far superior to what Google Chrome or Firefox have to offer at this point in time. Google Chrome’s experimental tab stacking feature comes closest to Opera’s implementation, but lacks a manual option that Opera users can make use of to drag and drop tabs on each other to stack them together.
Opera’s Autostack extension adds automatic tab stacking capabilities to Opera which are not available by default. The extension adds an option to automatically add new web pages that you open from within a tab stack to that tab stack. Without the extension, Opera would add the new tab to the end of the browser’s tab bar instead.
A second extension that Opera users who use the tab stacking feature may be interested in is Tab Grouper, a semi-automatic extension to group tabs into stacks. The extension adds a button to the Opera browser’s address bar on installation which triggers its functionality.
When you click on the button, all related tabs are automatically stacked together in Opera which may be useful for users who open dozens of pages at a time in the browser and want to bring order to the tab bar.

The extension has two major features:

  • Automatically group all extensions by site url together in tab stacks

  • Close duplicate tabs that are open in the Opera web browser (needs to be activated in the preferences)

Please note that sub-domains are counted as different domains by default the extension. This means that www.example.com and test.example.com won’t be grouped together automatically. You can however modify the behavior in the options so that all second-level domains are grouped together when you click on the button to trigger the functionality.
Tab Grouper is a handy extension for Opera users who often open lots of tabs in the browser and sometimes want to bring order to the tabs they have opened.
