Visible Energy has launched its Monostrip smart electrical outlet that can be controlled via an iOS device. The Monostrip is a Wi-Fi enabled, two-socket outlet that acquires energy usage data every 5 minutes. By using the free EnergyUFO iOS app users can view this energy usage information, as well as turn each of the outlets on and off remotely. Secure use of the product over the Internet and remote energy data collection is free of charge for the first year, but will cost $4-annually thereafter....
