Learning About Soft Circuits

Learning About Soft Circuits:
Ever wanted to learn more about the emerging world of e-textiles? Well today's your lucky Tuesday, because SparkFun's Department of Education has expanded its class list to include a course on soft circuits!

This is a great class for electronics beginners, since there is no soldering required to create a jar of twinkling fireflies, a robot with a LED heartbeat or a luminous LED jellyfish. This project is a great way to learn the basics of LilyPad Arduino, and by the end of the class, students will take away a functioning creation animated with LilyPad LEDs! If you've never used conductive thread, it's a pretty cool way to link up a microcontroller circuit. For those not familiar with circuits we will also cover series and parallel, battery life and buttons!

The class will take place at SparkFun headquarters on Wednesday, August 22, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. All materials are included, but be sure to register on our site to reserve your spot. See you there!
