Farewell blurry apps: Site highlights retina-ready Mac apps:

RetinaMacApps.com to the MacBook Pro's rescue!

If you're the owner of a Retina MacBook Pro, you may have a hard time reveling in your display's high-resolution status if your apps are still stuck in blurry, pixel-doubled form. But retina-ready apps are out there—in fact, their ranks are growing by the day—they're just not particularly easy to find in one place, even in the Mac App Store.
Enter a new site called RetinaMacApps.com, which aims to be a comprehensive listing of Mac applications that have been updated to be compatible with the Retina MacBook Pro. The site's functionality is pretty simple—there's no search functionality, just a drop-down on the left that lets you sort by most recent submissions, category, or name. For those who don't like to troll through the site every day, you can also sign up to receive a weekly digest e-mail with the submitted apps from the last week.
Retina-ready apps don't automatically appear on the listing, though—developers must submit their apps manually, meaning that there may be a number of apps out there that fit the requirement, but won't show up on the listing. That said, there are plenty of well-known independent Mac apps already on the site, including iA Writer, Things 2, Pixelmator, Rdio, 1Password, Coda, Evernote, Acorn, and more. If I were a Retina MacBook Pro owner, I'd certainly be sifting through to find all my favorite apps—pixel-doubled apps are OK as a stopgap measure, but they're no fun to use in the long term.
