It was another glamorous red carpet affair for the royal couple on Friday evening. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a gala at at the Royal Albert Hall to celebrate the countdown to the London Olympic Games.

Wearing another Jenny Packham design, Kate Middleton looked sensational in a bespoke teal version of Packham's 'Aspen' bridal gown. Created from pleated silk chiffon, the gorgeous gown featured delicate cap lace sleeves, a lace back, and a waist band including an embellished brooch. Beaded up the back, the dress is just as exquisite from behind as from the front. To accessorise her dress, Middleton also carried a matching teal clutch and wore a pair of Jimmy Choo 'Vamp' metallic sandals - her favourites lately.

However the crème de la crème of this whole look for me was Kate's hair. Instead of her usual style (worn down and curled at the ends) this time the Duchess chose to wear her hair up which was appropriate to help show off the detailed back of the dress. Styled into a low large bun, her hair was twisted with multiple braided sections and swept back beautifully.

Kate and Prince William were in attendance at the Our Greatest Team Rises gala, a black tie event to help mark the London 2012 Olympic Games. Team GB's line-up is expected to include 550 athletes across 26 different Olympic sports.

What do you think of Kate's red carpet look?
